Ours is a love story for the digital age.
We met like any respectable couple these days - on Tinder! Terry was in Salt Lake for Thanksgiving 2016, so Megan assumed it would be a casual date since he lived in California and she lived in Utah. Surely, it wouldn’t go anywhere. Surely.
I mean. Just look at those Tinder profiles over there. —————————> How could we not end up together?
Our first date was Thanksgiving weekend, and we spoke daily until date #2 on Christmas Eve. We spent a week together learning and laughing, and we knew then that this was something special.
The long distance thing grew old quickly, and Megan, unsurprisingly, found herself packed and moving to California. New apartments, new jobs, new symphonies, new friends, a new puppy (we love you, Murphy!), and so, so much laughter later, and we’ve built a lovely little life together.
Fast forward two years, and Terry proposed on Christmas day 2018, bringing our initial story full circle. It couldn’t have been more perfect.
Megan woke up to find a card in her stocking, and she assumed it was a normal Christmas card. In peek tech-couple fashion, the card contained 4 QR codes to scan. The first three linked to funny websites or videos that paid tribute to hilarious inside jokes they shared. Megan was dying laughing by the time she got to the fourth one.
The last code linked to a YouTube video with Terry’s face front and center and the title, “Epic Wedding Proposal 2018 #MeganSayYes2018”.
{{{Instant. Tears.}}}
See for yourself. He nailed it. She said yes. We planned a wedding (thanks, Braelynn!). Now we get to celebrate with you!
THE REST IS HISTORY
