What should I wear?
You gorgeous people, you! Please wear cocktail attire. Wear cocktail dresses or gowns, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks. To ensure everyone looks slammin' in photos, please no jeans, shorts, or t-shirts.
When should I arrive?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30, and due to venue setup, guests arriving late will not be able to enter until the ceremony is complete. Make sure you’re in the venue no later than 4:15 so that we won’t be missing you!
The reception will following immediately at the same venue. Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors and plenty cool!
Is there parking?
There is no dedicated parking at Church & State, but fear not! There are several options nearby. And don’t forget to carpool!
We want everyone to have fun and get home safely. Please think carefully about your transportation if you plan on drinking. Don’t drink and drive - just don’t do it!
The City Library Underground Garage
The parking facility can be accessed from eastbound 400 South between 200 and 300 East. Parking in this city-operated facility is free for the first half-hour, then $1.50 per half-hour after that.
Street Parking
There is plenty of street parking on the blocks surrounding the venue, and even better - it’s free on Saturdays!
UTA Trax
Utah has some of the best light rail in the country, and the main lines run right in front of the venue. Relax, and let somebody else take care of the ride!
Uber
Get a ride door-to-door through Uber for a safe and carefree travel experience! Guest can use our event promo code to save up to $5.00 on each ride.
Using your phone, click the link to claim your ride promotion on the day of the wedding, or enter promo code ejfr4hn in the payments tab of your app.
Can I bring a date?
We chose a sweet and cozy venue, so in order to keep our guest list on track we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. The only exception is if you received an insert in their invitation indicating that we reserved two seats in their honor. Then, we have space for you and your guest.
Can I bring children?
Although we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue. Please enjoy a night of relaxation and uninhibited revelry at this adults-only celebration!
What are we eating?
EPIC. WEDDING. MENU. We are so are so excited to share this part with you! If you know us at all, you know that we love to eat food from all corners or the world, and we wanted an unforgettable experience for our guests. We will be serving beautiful, traditional middle eastern food, made by the incredibly talented sisters at Zaater & Zayton. Many of you may never have eaten food like this, but we carefully selected the menu to be delicious, approachable, and exciting for everyone. We will be serving dinner family-style, so you’ll choose what you eat. There will be vegetarian, gluten-free, and nut-free options, too.
We know you’re going to love this. But if you have any questions about the menu, just reach out to us!
Oh…and cake. Definitely cake!
Are we dancing?
Ummmmm…do rats laugh when tickled (they do!)? YEAH! Bring your dancing shoes and song requests!
Can I post pictures?
Oh yeah! Take and post all the pictures you would like, just not during the ceremony. We will ask all guests to keep phones away during the ceremony so that you can be fully present with us, but before or after? Snap away! Be sure to use our wedding hashtag #SIMONSSQUARED on all of your posts so that we can find and enjoy them, too!
